About

Hello, my name is Sarah (:

I’m 16 years old and I have lived in 7 different towns throughout my life. I say this first because in many ways it has become the defining aspect of who I am today. I wouldn’t trade my experiences for anything because I believe that everything happens for a reason.

Here are the top 7 things to know about me:

1) I live in the Sunshine State, Florida.

2) I have two brothers, one older and one younger.

3) I stand 5’ 0” tall… er, um, short.

4) When I grow up, I want to be happy… the rest is still undecided.

5) Between school and family and friends and volunteering and working out and Student Government and NHS and Philosophy Club and just about everything else, I rarely find time to sleep. However, I’m young, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

6) Likes: old things, old people, water, cars, shoes, television, history, real estate, soft hair, blackberry cobbler, baking soda, meeting new people

7) Dislikes: fruit, movie theatres, movies in general, cats, soda, juice, science, Will Ferrell, ketchup, ranch dressing

  1. Hey dude! Great thing you’ve got going on here. It’s awesome to find another solid teen blogger out there on the web, and what a sick bucket list! Keep it up, Sydney

  2. You have an amazing blog! I love reading all about your summer. You inspired to make my own summer blog and I think my summer is going to be so much better for it. Thanks :)

    • Thank you Anya! I took a look at your blog, and it looks great so far! I especially like your photo-a-day section… it’s amazing how looking at those daily photographs can bring back the minute details embedded in our memories… I have to say, I think it’s incredible that a) You’re from Scotland and b) You’re going to be spending a year in China! So cultured (: I wish you the best of luck, with both your bucket list and your gap year abroad!

  3. Hey! First off, my name is Sarah, too! xD Haha. Anyway…. your blog inspired me to do something pretty close to what you’re doing. Is that OK? I don’t want to make you mad over it or anything.

I’m 13, and yesterday I was a rather bored person, so when I accidently stumbled unpon your site, I fell in love with it instantly. So entertaining, so creative, and so fun! It’s also very relatable, with you being a teenager and all.

  8. Sarah:
After reading your excellent comment on my post yesterday, I just had to check out your blog, and I love what you’re doing here. Young people like you make me feel like the world is being left in some very competent hands. Keep it up!

    • Thank you so much Siobhan! I was more than happy to comment on your post because it’s such a relevant topic to me, and you wrote so eloquently about it! I’m glad to hear that you like my blog, even though it has its rough patches. I’ll try my best to do this generation justice!

  9. Hi! Your blog is so inspiring, so I started my own blog. I make my own bucket list and took some ideas from you, friends and came up with a bunch of my own for the school year instead of summer. I was wondering if you would mind taking a look. Thanks so much your blog is great!

    • Hey, I saw your blog, and it looks like you’re on the right track! I’m anxious to see some of the posts you’ll be coming up with (hopefully soon!). Good luck!

  10. Hey love your blog! I just came about it recently (I was looking for things to put on my list, and went to yahoo answers and found your link) and am surprised that some of the things on the list are on my list too! Its funny to see how yours turn out, and how mine did! :) Keep it up!
    Love,
    Emma

    • Thanks! Isn’t summer just the best? I’ll definitely hope you make one, and I’ll be checking back in on your blog to see if you follow through! Best of luck!

  11. I love your blog! My best friend and I are always making lists of stuff to do during the summer and I’ve thought about starting a blog, but I’ve always tended to struggle with names. Any advice? Again love the blog! :)

    • Hey Lexi, thanks! I totally recommend starting a blog, it really helps you keep your goals on track! As far as naming it goes, you just have to be creative and make sure you’re passionate about it. For example, I named my blog after the movie Gone With the Wind. So you could make it a spin off of a movie, the street you guys live on, your pet (like Jenna Marbles)…just have fun with it!

      • thanks for the advice! And if you want to check out my little blog/website the web address is heatwave.wordpress.com :)

  12. There’s no such thing as caring too much about school. It will definitely pay off! Not making the most of school is one of my biggest regrets.

Love your Bucket List :). Awesome. “Pay for a strangers meal”…nice :). Look forward to hearing how this one goes when you tick it off!

    • Well, that’s definitely reassuring, so thank you (:
I’ve actually tried paying for a stranger’s meal, but I didn’t have enough cash on me at the time (whoops…) It shall be done soon though!

  13. just want to say that this blog is cool :) and that your summer bucket list has given me a couple more ideas to add for my continuously growing bucket list (cookie cakeeeeee :P )… haha, great blog!!!
