At first glance, this list item may seem unethical. However, after a little research, I actually discovered that many businesses are more than happy to accommodate the requests of its patrons. I’m not the only one that is enticed by that oh-so-tempting four letter f-word. In fact, there are entire websites dedicated to writing companies asking for free products and services, mainly because it works. The logic behind it consists of good marketing strategies. Quite simply, a happy customer equals a loyal customer. Therefore, in an act of capitalistic reverie, I crafted not one, but three letters.
- Ford Motor Company (satisfaction) – I loved test driving the 2010 Mustang (:
- Victoria’s Secret (complaint) – Two pairs of panties I recently bought started to rip after only a few washes ):
- 7-Eleven (satisfaction) – I was excited about the new Fanta sugar-free mango Slurpee (:
Consider this an experiment of sorts. My inspiration came from Tom Locke at The $39 Experiment, so go check out his really awesome concept! Now all that’s left to do is wait for the responses. I’ll post any updates as they come arrive! Fingers crossed!
Love & Summer,
UPDATE 06/19/12: Take a look at what the fine people at Ford sent me along with the response letter… I am ecstatic! Thank you thank you thank you!
